Following the receipt of the Patriarchal letter dated 12 June 2019 through which the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain and Ireland was formally informed about:
(1) the synodical decision on the basis of which His Eminence Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira and Great Britain has been placed in the lists of the retired High Priests of the Throne of the Ecumenical Patriarchate under the title: ‘His Eminence Gregorios former Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain’;
(2) the unanimous vote and election of His Eminence Metropolitan of Dardanelles Nikitas to the Throne of Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain and Ireland.
On account of the above, with this letter we are informing you the following:
- From this point and hereafter, the new Archbishop, His Eminence Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain will be formally, canonically and reverently made reference to at every religious service.
- The Enthronement and installation ceremony of the new Archbishop, His Eminence Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain will take place on 27 July at 11:00 am at the Cathedral of the Holy Wisdom (Baywater), central London.
