With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, Christian Orthodox Thyateira Youth is established as a Ministry for Young People ages 16-35 (non-strictly). This newly formed Fellowship is the official Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Archdiocese and is under the spiritual aegis and paternal guidance of the Archbishop of The Holy Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, an Eparchy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
The Christian Orthodox Thyateira Youth (COTY) aims to cultivate and support young members of the Archdiocese by coordinating various youth activities in the UK, Ireland, and beyond. COTY events encompass liturgical, charitable, educational, and social activities, providing opportunities for personal development and community-building. The historic Archdiocesan Cathedral currently facilitates COTY events focused on the celebration of the Eucharist and the liturgical life of the Church. Over time, other parishes and communities will establish their own COTY Groups, fostering local events and partnerships with youth programs from other Orthodox eparchies worldwide. All youth and young adults are welcome to join this Archdiocesan ministry.
