The Annunciation of the Theotokos and the Greek National Anniversary of 1821 were festively celebrated in Ireland. In the celebrating Community of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in Dublin, His Grace Bishop Maximos of Melitene presided over and led the Divine Liturgy.
After the Doxology, His Grace conveyed the wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain to the congregation, while the Most Excellent Ambassador of Greece to Dublin, Mrs. Magdalini Nikolaou, delivered the festive speech of the day.
In the end, everyone together sang the National Anthem of Greece.
