Patriarchal visit: Dinner with Young Adults of our Archdiocese

On the evening of Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Penridge Suite in north London, an extraordinary Patriarchal Enlightened Evening was hosted in honour of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. His All-Holiness was welcomed to the Penridge by a group of young men of the Archdiocese dressed in their traditional Scottish kilts and then escorted inside to join the nearly 300 young people in attendance from all parts of the United Kingdom, including Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Dinner was followed by a live musical performance by the British-Born Cypriot acoustic artist Christos Liberos, and the rest of the evening was devoted to fellowship with the Patriarch and his delegation—an unforgettable and historic opportunity for the youth of the Archdiocese.

His All-Holiness is in London for a pastoral visit in celebration of the centenary anniversary of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain. The Enlightened Evenings of the Archdiocese are a recently introduced ministry focused on cultivating community among Orthodox students and young professionals aged 21–40. The monthly social gatherings are an occasion to enjoy cultured evenings of fellowship while sharing unique gastronomic experiences around London.
