On Thursday 1st September 2022, His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the Netherlands and Luxembourg, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Annunciation of the Theotokos (founded by the late Metropolitan Kallistos of Diokleia) while the late Metropolitan’s body was lying in state. The Monastic Choir of the Holy Stavropegic and Patriarchal Monastery of St. John the Baptist in Essex chanted in the service. His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain and Archbishop Zenon (Patriarchate of Georgia) were also present.
