Divine Liturgy at the Georgian Cathedral

On Sunday the 25th of July 2021, His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, following the kind invitation of His Eminence Archbishop Zenon of Dmanisi, concelebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Georgian Orthodox Church of the Nativity of our Lord. Following the Concelebration, the two Hierarchs reaffirmed the Church’s Eucharistic unity, as well as the fraternal love and fellowship in Christ expressed in and through the Divine Liturgy. Her Excellency Sophio Katsarava, the Ambassador of the Republic of Georgia to the United Kingdom, was also present, as were many faithful. Following the Divine Liturgy, celebrated in Georgian, Greek and English, the two Hierarchs shared a meal together, along with Fr William Taylor, Chairman of the Anglican and Eastern Churches Association, Her Excellency the Ambassador of Georgia and prominent members of the Georgian community in London.

His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas and His Eminence Archbishop Zenon cordially discussed ways of further cooperation in the near future, in order to strengthen the Orthodox Christian presence, collaboration and witness in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
