The research, conducted by Deacon of the Archdioceses Dr George Tsourous and Professor Francis Davis of the Edward Cadbury centre at Birmingham University, states that the Christian Community in Israel, the Gaza Strip and West Bank is strategically core to the region’s ability to build back after Covid. But that recovery is at grave risk because of weak local public policy and underdeveloped international support.
The report was launched on 21 November 2021 at an event organised by ICoHS at the Cheyneygates Room, Westminster Abbey.
Professor Davis and Dcn Dr Tsourous addressed the gathering which included His Eminence Angaelos Archbishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church, representatives of the Christian Churches in the UK, senior parliamentarians, civil servants and academics.
