Battles, Naval Battles and the Virtues of the Greek defence in the war of 1821

On the 25th of March 2021, an online event took place for the 200th Anniversary of Greek Independence.

The main speaker was Mr Athanasios Demetriou, the Naval Attache of the Greek defence in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Mr Demetriou spoke on the Battles that took place during the period of Greek Independence in 1821, sharing a plethora of relevant historical information and sources.

His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas was present and blessed the event.

The well-attended event was concluded with the national anthem of Greece, presented by Protopresbyter Joseph Paliouras.
