Having learned of the election of His Grace Bishop Athanasios of Tropaeou as the Metropolitan of Colognia, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain gives thanks to Almighty God and expresses its gratitude to the His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for honouring Metropolitan Athanasios for his many years of service to Christ and His Church.
