This is to inform the honourable chairmen and the devout flock of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain that Thursday 5 December is officially declared a Day of Mourning during which the Funeral Service of His Eminence Gregorios former Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain will take place.
We therefore recommend that the following guidelines be observed, as a token of respect and honour for the late Archbishop:
- All scheduled festivities for this day be cancelled.
- Every Greek Community School will remain closed during the day.
- The flags at every Church and Greek Community School be at half-mast for a series of three consecutive days.
- A minute of silence be kept in every school at exactly 12:00 noon on Saturday 7 December 2019.
